   Usain Bolt is from Jamaica and he’s the fastest man in the world. He’s got the world record in athletics for 100 metres and 200 metres. He runs at an average speed of 37,5 km/h. His top speed is 44 km/h!
Recently, Usain Bolt was in Kenya in Africa. There he met the fastest animal in the world - the cheetah. Cheetahs run at 80 km/h, and some can run for a short time at 120 km/h! But the cheetah is an endangered species, and  Usain wants to help these beautiful animals. So he is paying the Kenya Wildlife Service £8,500 to adopt a baby cheetah. He doesn’t want to take the cheetah home. He wants to pay £1,800 every year to look after it in the safari park. The Kenya Wildlife Service can use some of the money to help all the cheetahs in Kenya.
Usain calls the baby cheetah ‘Lightning’. This is Usain’s nickname, too! On his visit, he fed little Lightning from a bottle. But he didn’t want to stroke an adult cheetah. The world’s fastest man was scared!
